The Department of Health have called for expressions of interest for membership of the new National Screening Committee.

The committee will be formed this autumn and Professor Niall O Higgins has been appointed as Chair of this new committee. The National Screening Committee will be independent of the HSE and Department of Health and will be responsible for considering population- based screening programmes in Ireland. The representatives being sought would ideally be experts in their field with a special interest and knowledge of screening and the evidence and clinical matters related to that.
