The Irish College of General Practitioners, the professional body for general practice in Ireland, has expressed its deep concern at the disastrous impact of the war on the health and safety of the people of Ukraine.

The College expresses its support for our Ukrainian colleagues, who are working under extremely difficult conditions in this conflict. We also wish to express solidarity with the community of Irish-based Ukrainian general practitioners.

We encourage members of the College to give practical support to the humanitarian programmes. These programmes provide healthcare and medical supplies to the victims of this war, and who are supporting the growing number of refugees in neighbouring countries.

This is a video from our Ukrainian colleagues in Ireland, led by Dr Kateryna Kachurets, a GP in Dublin.
