Patient Information Videos
This Patient Information video series is a resource to support patients who need advice on women’s health issues and to empower them in advance of visiting their GP so they know what to expect in a consultation. After a consultation, a GP may also share a link to the video with patients as a useful recap on information. The video series covers a variety of topics related to women’s health including advice on fertility, urinary incontinence, and pelvic floor exercises.
1. Fertility – Lifestyle Advice
Dr Amy Rossiter discusses simple lifestyle advice surrounding fertility.
2. Fertility – When to Visit your GP
Dr Danielle O’Leary speaks about when to see your GP about difficulty getting pregnant, the tests they might do, and when they might recommend referral to see a fertility specialist.
3. Urinary Incontinence
Dr Louise Fitzgerald talks about the different types of urinary incontinence, the cause of urinary incontinence and options for improving urinary incontinence.
4. Pelvic Floor Exercises
Dr Niamh Scanlan explains how to identify the muscles in the pelvic floor and how to undertake pelvic floor exercises.
