Dr. Tony Cox, Medical Director of the ICGP, said: “The pandemic has created huge challenges for GPs, and we have implemented rapid changes in how we do our work. At the same time, GPs need regular and timely updates on the latest guidelines and advice.”
“This half-day virtual conference is a unique opportunity for GPs to be informed on a wide range of issues from infection control in practices, to palliative care to therapeutics. The ICGP has worked to support its members adapt and change their work practices through webinars and podcasts. This event will serve as a vital educational tool for GPs in Ireland and all over the world.”
“We are delighted that Dr Mike Ryan, a world leader on healthcare, will join us for a discussion about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. We have a very strong expert panel, and our own Clinical Leads will give expert updates on specific areas of care under COVID-19.”
“The College’s Annual Conference was originally scheduled for 8th & 9th May. We have postponed that event to November next, but we hope this half-day virtual event will bring the GP community together to learn from each other.” ENDS
